GEN01..

SubjectGEN01..
In the GEN01 manual it states:

channel -- channel number to read in. 0 denotes read all channels.

But the only opcodes that can read a stereo table are the loscil opcodes? I find the above a little confusing. I had always imagined that setting 0 would mean a mix of the two channels when using the table family of opcodes that can only read one channel at a time. But setting 0 and using the table family of opcodes results in only the left channel being read.

Would anyone object to a slight rewording of the above in the manual?

hi rory -

after using csound for more than twenty years, i only recently came
across loscilx:

ar1 [, ar2, ar3, ar4, ar5, ar6, ar7, ar8, ar9, ar10, ar11, ar12, ar13,
ar14, ar15, ar16] loscilx xamp, kcps, ifn [, iwsize, ibas, istrt,
imod, ibeg, iend]

i tried it (loading and playing 8-channel files), and it works
perfectly. i think we should propagate it more.

so i think the description in GEN01 is good and should remain as it is.

ciao -

The description is accurate, but I still think it would be helpful to point out which opcodes can read stereo tables.
