ampmidi and veloc

	Dear community, I want to change the code for an instrument which I've been using with midi.I desire to use it without midi. It doesn't seem to be too difficult but I have one question concerning the relationship between key velocity and amplitude. In the original instrument I've been using the following code for midi amplitude and key velocity: iamp ampmidi 1 ikeyvel veloc 0, 1 Both parameters have the same range, but I think the relationship between the two is not so easy, am I right? I don't expect the value e.g. 0.5 for ikeyvel, if the value for iamp is 0.5 Is there a formula available, which allows one to derive the value for ikeyvel from a given amplitude?
