SubjectWIndows installer
I have finally posted the Windows installer for Csound 6.08 to the
GitHub release page for Csound.

There is one regression in this release, the HTML5 features are not
implemented in the build of CsoundQt included in this installer. That
is because the Qt SDK suffered a regression that breaks the
functionality of the QWebChannel needed to expose Csound to the
JavaScript context in Web pages. There is a fix in Qt sources for the
release version of Qt 5.8.0 and when that is actually released, the
Csound installer will be rebuilt and updated.

In the meantime, all the HTML5 features are fully functional in
csound.node, which is completely included in the installer.

Regards,
Mike

Hi,
Is it the one here
http://csound.github.io/download.html
?

I can only find
https://github.com/csound/csound/releases/download/6.08.0/Csound6.08_Win64_minimal.zip
and similar for 32 bit. These seems not to be installers, but zipped
files with a slightly different directory structure than the way
Csound is installed on Windows.
I just wanted to ask if this is intentional.

best

No, those are the minimal packages, looks
like a link to the installer has not been added
yet. You can get it from the release page.

Thanks Mike!

I used it today in our school to install the latest Csound on our Windows machines.

Would it be possible on http://csound.github.io/download.html to Link to the "Setup_Csound_x64_6.08.0.exe" instead of the minimal versions, or to add this link?

Best wishes,
Alex

I'll update those links now. I'm not even sure we need the minimal ones listed on the downloads page?
