	Jean-Claude was such an amazing, inspiring, and generous person - a true mentor to all of us. I am so happy to have known him, and to have spent so many memorable times with him over the years... (often together with Max Mathews). Their friendship, and their incredible relationship was the foundation for the field in which we now all play. I am so sad to know that I will not see him again. It was such a pleasure to have him as one of the keynote speakers and honored guests at The Csound Conference we held at Berklee. Today, I am so happy to read his wonderful foreword to the amazing and brilliant new Csound Book by Victor, Steven, John, Iain, Oeyvind and Joachim. His instruments are a treasure. 	I have never met him. But now I realize that his impact was quite prominent. I've spent many hours studying Amsterdam catalog of Csound instruments that is based on his work. The one of the instruments I've found there overtone (throat-singing like) instrument is still one of my favorite Csound instruments.
