I just ra on my Linux system and it sods te same to me eiter wit -odac or 
to file 16bit or 24 bit.  No overflows but no crackles.  ome of the 
attacks seem abrupyt but not distorted.

That rather asks ow you are playing the soud file, wat platform etc

I also rendered here in realtime and to disk (using -3) and got same
results.  I'm on Windows 10, 64-bit, using Csound compiled from GIT.

Vent: What version of Csound are you using what operating system?

I am also running doubles.  My guess points to libsndfile.  What format are 
you creating for the sound file? Can you post the bad soundfile somewhere?
