Dear list, I tried to install the latest manual for Csound with github for the first time from https://github.com/csound/manual. I could easily install xsltproc. Still "Docbook XML DTD" is missing, so are the Docbook XSL stylesheets. I could not find any information where to find them how to install them on Ubuntu 14.04. Obviously it is not possible via the Ubuntu Software Center...but how else could it be done? Could someone please lead me to a place where I can find the information needed for that or give me a hint "how to..." ...and maybe the Csound manual page on github should have also a brief description how to install "Docbook XML DTD" and "Docbook XSL stylesheets" for Linux-systems, which do not already have them installed. Thanks and best regards, Jan Jacob |

Hi Jan Jacob, Perhaps try "sudo apt-get install docbook" or "sudo apt-get docbook-xml docbook-xsl" from a terminal. I'm not sure what package is the one to install, but those came up when I used "apt-cache search docbook". Hope that helps! steven On Sun, Oct 30, 2016 at 10:11 AM, Jan Jacob Hofmann |

Hi, It can be easier to use a ready-made manual from the latest version - just download and unpackhttps://github.com/csound/csound/releases/latest (scroll down to the links to binaries)I I suggest use the html version, then you can use it via CsoundQt if you set the path in Configure->Environment I must say I did not see a direct link on the Csound download page http://csound.github.io/download.html I think it could be helpful for many users. Eugene, if you agree, could you add it - the page looks otherwise so great! tarmo 2016-10-30 13:03 GMT-03:00 Francois PINOT <fggpinot@gmail.com>:
