SubjectNew install: not being able to load libcsound64.so.6.0
Hi everyone,
I just set up a new Arch Linux system and installed Csound (from the git
repo).

After successful compilation and installation, I get this error:
csound: error while loading shared libraries: libcsound64.so.6.0: cannot open
shared object file: No such file or directory

The .so-file is located in /usr/local/lib. Any idea why this could be?

Thanks and

best wishes,

Jeanette

Did you run ldconfig and is it set up to read /usr/local/lib?

Mike

Thank you both, John and Michael. Indeed, it was that. I never thought
the basic setup wouldn't include /usr/local/lib.

Best wishes,

Jeanette
