I have posted to my blog a new release of Csound, 6.08 beta. This is the Windows installer for 64 bit CPU architecture with all features including CsoundVST and vst4cs, the opcodes for hosting VST plugins in Csound.

Hi Michael, OT to the thread, but looking at your tumbler site I wanted to say that Sevier was gorgeous to listen to and Scrims looked very exciting (I didn't get sound with the pNaCl version, but perhaps I missed a slider to adjust). Could you mention what you used for the brass sounds in Sevier? Regarding the beta, I didn't see a post on the site with the link. Is there a list of particular changes included with the beta? Thanks! steven On Mon, Sep 12, 2016 at 1:19 PM, Michael Gogins |

There is no list of changes. The link is in the middle of the "Csound" page. I will also do a post about this right now, thanks. You have to fiddle with the sliders, especially the master output slider, and before you can get sound out of scrims. The most recent version is at https://gogins.github.io/csound/Scrims_pnacl.html. All of the code for these pieces is accessible from my blog, see links in this page http://michaelgogins.tumblr. Hi Michael, That's great to be able to see the source and I look forward to studying the pieces. One thing though is that the html files that are linked to from the page include various JS files (e.g., js/silencio.js, js/ParametricLindenmayer.js, etc.). Are those available somewhere, or is packaged with csound.node somehow (which is mentioned on the page)? Thanks! steven On Mon, Sep 12, 2016 at 3:46 PM, Michael Gogins |

Good question, and yes. If you clone gogins.github.io you get all that. In principle it could all be from CDNs. Best, On Sep 12, 2016 4:08 PM, "Steven Yi" <stevenyi@gmail.com> wrote: Hi Michael, |

Fantastic, thanks! I found the dependencies all there. (For anyone else who might be looking to study Michael's work, the source for gogins.github.io is available at: https://github.com/gogins/gogins.github.io ) steven On Mon, Sep 12, 2016 at 4:38 PM, Michael Gogins |

Thank you Michael. This solved the issue I was having earlier! I am able to display a VST's GUI using Csound and render notes from a score in realtime. My understanding is that non-realtime rendering will not work--correct? When I try to render directly to a file, the VST's GUI displays, but then CsoundQT crashes.

I'm glad it's starting to work! But certainly it should also render to file. Try not showing the GUI for that. Regards, On Sep 14, 2016 3:28 PM, "d.vyd@outlook.com" <d.vyd@outlook.com> wrote:
