Whichever it is, there's probably some good perspective, even if it's
only historical.
The was an interesting couple of pieces in CMJ a few winters back, one
on hexagonal and octangonal surrounds using using Csound routines. And
in same issue, using morph and imorph Csound opcodes for brass models.
I started exploring other possibilities of using "morph" opcodes. Very
useful. I'll have to check out this Winter '95 issue, I might have that
one. I think I know which article that is. Spheres in a simulated space,
had some good figures and images to illustrate with.

i'm not sure what you mean. the article you reference was published, as
you can see, in the computer music journal, not the csound journal. the
babo opcode was introduced into csound around 2000, IIRC. perhaps there
was an article at the csound magazine at the time?
