Unexpected S_LT error

SubjectUnexpected S_LT error
Hi All,

I am using Csound 6.07 just reinstalled from github, on OsX 10.8.5.
I am also using PWGL with Zucco's library PWCsound, until now without
problems.
In creating a simple .csd file, also from first examples of PWCsound
inline help, I receive this error:

error: syntax error, unexpected S_LT (token "<") from file /test.csd (!)
line 0

The test.csd file does not run with winsound, nor csoundqt, either
csound from terminal. But if I put a Return or a Space as first
character, before , to be clear, everything runs
right.

With Csound 6.06 this problem is not present (at the moment I have
downgraded to this version).

Can anyone help me?
Many Thanks in advance,

Best

Fabio,
not a fix for 6.07, although I used a beta of that for a while. 6.08 beta (current github master, doesn't have that issue. I never had problems with that particular one before.

A possible workaround for your preferred 6.07: if your building tool pwcsound is based on a template, change the template to include a return or space before the '<' character.

Sorry I can't be of more help.

Hi Ffanci,

Thank you for fast reply.
I have tried, after your right suggestion, to add a space/return to the
file of the library that create the .csd file, but the result is the
same.
I will try to get in touch with M° Zucco, PWCsound creator.
At the moment I have installed 6.06 Csound version again.

Ciao

Hi,

PWCsound http://pwcsound.jimdo.com/ is a very good PWGL
http://www2.siba.fi/PWGL/ library, that permit to interact with PWGL
(algorithmic composition software, a little similar to OpenMusic)
building your Csound instruments and scores inside a PWGL patch.

The input, if I have understood the question, was a whatever simple PWGL
patch, resulting in whatever simple .csd file, not running neither in
WinXound, Csoundqt or csound terminal command.

Without the . csd file there is little one can do, as we have no example to test.
