Hey hey,
I've had this problem cropping up several times now. A good example is the 
example code from the Linux Audio Conference presentation "Sound Synthesis 
with Periodic Linear Time-Varying Filters", the code is here:
http://www.ime.usp.br/~ag/dl/lac15-code.zip

The proiblem can be seen in the allpassphasedist.csd:
Csound 6.07 says:
INIT ERROR in instr 1: table: index type inconsistent with output
asin    tablei.a        aph     -1      1       0       1

I've had similar errors running a few examples from the Csound Journal, also 
regarding "distortion synthesis".

Can someone perhaps spot the cause?

It runs here (of course it does, since I wrote this). Not sure really what the matter is, but it rings
a bell. I seem to recall something like this being reported. Looks like a parsing problem. 
But I can’t reproduce it here.

maybe it’s raising its ugly head again. If that is the case, I won’t be able to tackle this
until I’m back in August. Or someone else can have a look.

Hey hey,
the issue is partly gone. Trying a very simple example and looking at the moorer opcode from the Csound Journal article "Distortion synthesis A tutorial with Csound examples", that all works fine. Trying to run the Allpass example from the LAC presentation still fails. It compiles without errors, if I change the line:
asin tablei aph,-1,1,0,1
to
asin tablei aph,1,1,0,1
But then there is zero volume output.

Any ideas?
