new export option in Cabbage...

Subjectnew export option in Cabbage...
I've added a new export option in Cabbage for exporting FMOD Sound plugins(OSX and Win64). FMOD Studio is a popular audio middleware that is used by many of the world's leading game makers. Like most audio middleware solutions the options of generating procedural audio are minimal at best. That is until now. With Csound in the picture this audio middleware just became a lot more interesting. Some notes:

- available for Windows 64 and OSX. Just grab the latest release of Cabbage from:
- only float parameters can be automated in fmod. So all GUI buttons and checkboxes in Cabbage are converted to sliders so they can be adequately controlled and automated in fmod
- when you export your fmod Cabbage plugin, make sure to point fmod to the plugin folder, otherwise it won't be seen
- a very very simple example is shown in this video tutorial:

I've tested with Unreal Engine and Unity on Windows, and Unity on OSX. I'm not installing UE4 on my OSX machine, but I imagine it should work there too. Let me know if anyone has any problems, although I'm not sure how many users on this list will actually be interested in this!!

Rory.

You'll have to encourage your students to start using it. And your colleagues! In particular Michael Sweet, who included Max patches with his last book!! Pff!
