SubjectCabbage with reverb example
I'm trying to use the MultiReverb Cabbage example on Windows 7 with Csound (64) version 6.07, as a VST plugin with Reaper. It loads in Reaper okay, but when I change the controls (such as pitchmod or cutoff) there is no discernible change in the sound. Right now it sounds like pitchmod is way too high. Oh, maybe it's not using screverb, not sure. The control to select the reverb doesn't work--right now it does say "screverb" but when I switch to "freeverb" it displays "freeverb" for instant, then switches back to "screverb" by itself.

Any idea what is going wrong?

Mike

I'm not at my DAW machine, but the effect seemed to run just fine for
me in cabbage. What happens if you try the example in cabbage
natively without exporting as a VST?

How do you get sound through it in Cabbage natively? My sound source is Pianoteq which I normally use as another VST plugin.

Seems to work fine here with Cabbage v1.1. The pitch control only works for reverbsc, but the fco controls should work for both. If you launch Cabbage outside of a host you can use the instruments are live effects processors but to send the output of your pianoteq plugin to a Cabbage instrument you should use a host. It's odd that when you choose freeverb is switches back. What version of Cabbage are you using?

This is Cabbage V 1.1.0 with Reaper 5.201, both of them the 64 bit versions. I tested the plugin inside Cabbage by reading a wave file. The controls worked okay there. I modified the CSD to hard code the values I wanted so I wouldn't need the controls in Reaper. Next problem I encountered was pops and clicks in Reaper. I was generating sound with the Pianoteq VST plugin and routing it through my Cabbage plugin and getting artifacts in the sound. But Pianoteq alone works fine. I am using the ASIO sound output, with a large buffer. Any ideas about the pops and clicks? I can ignore the controls problem for the time being.

I can't recreate the issues you're having here with my local setup. Attached is a version that shows you the Csound output. You should see the output change when you move each slider. Let me know if that much is working Ok.

I am using the ASIO sound output, with a large buffer. Any ideas about the pops and clicks? I can ignore the controls problem for the time being.
