Hey hey, inspired by Dr. B's sentiment to involve some Csound in all genres, I have created a proper 3D space using the fantastic HRTF opcodes to give the piano a context. This is a baroque(ish) partita, it only has five movements, instead of the six or seven typical in Bach's partitas. It is almost all counterpunctual. It was performed live. To create and audition the room I used part of the m 3D suite tht I wrote and I also used m_3d_place_source and m_3d_global_reverb to render the actual recording. Room parameters were based on sound absorbtion coefficient from real measurements (definitely not done by me :) ). I hope you enjoy it! Not only is this situated in a very "real" space, but it takes me back to another place in time! - I find myself musing in my 1683 library (contemplating tempered tunings), sipping on a cup of tea, smoking my pipe, and very much enjoying your latest composition... I am dating your work circa 1683 as I am remembering how much you influence the young Bach _____________________________________________ Dr. Richard Boulanger Professor of Electronic Production and Design Professional Writing and Music Technology Division Berklee College of Music On Sun, May 17, 2020 at 3:28 PM Dr. Richard Boulanger <rboulanger@berklee.edu> wrote:
