Very seductive video. Interesting if this device will do well with csound, now the latency in Raspberry Pi needs a bit high granularity for real time audio processing. I wonder if this will perform much better. Any thoughts?

Which Pi are we talking about? The RPi2 seems to do pretty well, but
I've never used another embedded system with Csound to test it
against, and I can't say I ever tried to get a buffer size as low as 2
samples, I guess the RPi2 probably wouldn't like that much though :D

This does look pretty exciting, there are plenty of people who only
want embedded systems for audio DIY projects, like myself. I would
probably have bought one instead of the RPi if it had been around
then.

I wonder though, why no ready to go jack sockets? Even with the good
array of I/Os, surely just one output stereo mini-jack would be a good
shout. Also, they don't make a mention of any DSP chips, I would of
expected a DSP on board a board that's designed with audio in mind.
I'm sure they have good reasons for both these points though, I've
never build a micro-computer before ;)

I know this thread is technically about the Bela, but the RPi3 sounds
good! Did the RPi 2 have a similar GPU or is that new?

Even with the extra power on the new RPi, I would still guess the
no-OS responsiveness to the inputs on the Bela would give it an upper
hand for real-time audio processing at least.
