Hi All,

I just came across http://source2016.com/ and saw that SuperCollider
is turning 20 this year (bravo!).  I remember talking with others that
Csound is turning 30 this year and thought it would be nice to do
something to mark the occasion.

How about issuing a compilation of pieces each of exactly 30 seconds duration?

an informal meeting just to celebrate would be great. for you guys living
in europe it's so easy to say "come to berlin", but for third world
persons like me everything is mucho más complicated...

i might be traveling to berlin sometime around september-october. if you
organize something around that time, i might be able to join you. i also
plan to be in the uk for a week or so in may, any chance of doing
something there?

I like the idea of meeting up if that can work out.  If possible, I
think summer time would be nice as those in academia would likely be
free from teaching duties then.

I also think a global project would be great and more inclusive for
those who can not make the trip.

yes, there is a planned workshop between three institutes in Dublin later in the year. We could make it bigger, if
people would like to come.

berlin would be great!
perhaps early september after the SMC2016 in hamburg, so we can connect
both events? that would be ideal. for some of us, attending any of those
events would require a major trip (in hours and in $$$). if we could group
them together, that would be an extra incentive to travel, and the only
possibility of attending both events.
