Hi Anton,

Nice and beautiful piece! I hope one day I can make such pieces too :)

I am a newbie, so a bit confused with some of the vocabulary.

Does this mean that you own a physical grand piano and santoor, and you played some music on that, which you recorded to bring it onto the computer?

Have you written a custom library to interface between Csound and Haskell?

Kind regards,
Brian

Yes, that is interesting... I find that when I remove my conscious volition from the compositional process, after I am finished with all of the programming, planning and etc, the best work comes forth. Over the years I have deliberately constructed processes that are conducive to just that.

Good luck with the next work.

It's interesting that it was created really by chance. I've wanted to record
some piano piece with determined scores. Also I wanted to add some random
splashes of arpeggios. It took me quite some time to record the piece without mistakes,
but random splashes were done in 5 or 10 minutes, just random notes here and there.
After listening to recorded material I came to conclusion that one of the
random arpeggios  deserves a separate track to itself.

Hi,

You are welcome to listen to the new track written with Csound and Haskell.
It was inspired by the happy coincidence described in the title of the track.

In the track I'm experimenting with recording samples myself.
I've recorded grand piano and santoor. The samples were heavily processed
with Csound/Haskell (reverbs, reversing, random cuts and pan).
the Csound was also used for mixing.

Thanks for listening!
Anton

@Brian

The instruments are real ones, no emulators.
I don't own the grand piano, but I have access to the one.
I can come to the hall to record the thing.
Though I have the santoor.

Yes, I wrote the lib to interface with Csound. It's called csound-expression.

@Partev
Thanks, I'm glad you like it.
