Good morning,

I was almost ready to buy a new Mac when they showed up with a new model and
a new OS, El Capitan. Following this forum I read that there is a
incompatibility between Csound and El Capitan.
May you please update me about any progress has been done to solve this
issue, or if it will be solved with the next version of Csound?

I am not quite sure there is an incompatibility. I did not see it reported here. If anyone has not been able to run or build Csound on OSX 10.11, please let us know.

Works fine for me, I’m using 6.05, but that’s just down to the Java jar missing from 6.06.

I’m working on jdk in ios and Android, There is a library file missing there. It might be the jar is there but the lib is not. It’s a few months back now, if memory serves me right, the native libraries for the JDK aren’t there.

Just to add, I have a Java desktop app on OS/X, and that was the one causing problems with 6.06. Hence, my sticking to 6.05 until a fix comes out.

Just now, removed /Library/Frameworks/CsoundLib64.framework

Downloaded latest CSound from Sourceforge

Installed, JNDI library is there, 

java OS / X app  makes some noise, so the installation of CSound 6.06 for OS/X el capitan (10.11.1) works fine.

Appologies for any misinformation I might have given. In fact, I’m quite happy to have made this discovery today!

Thanks. I surfed better the forum, actually nobody never complained about
Csound, I apologize. But it seems that CsoundQt doesn't work properly, as
you can read in the discussions of the 30th of September. Any news since
then?

Regarding CsoundQT: I have now tried on a Mac mini with el capitan, and
CsoundQT built in June 2015 (with Csound 6.05). It seems to work ok, but I
just tried for a couple of minutes.

Thank you. I have tried in an Apple shop Csound 6.06 and CsoundQT included in
the package. Everything seems working fine.
