seems like on my Android devices amplitudes should be < 1 whereas on Linux
it must only be <=1, so solutions to my problem:
*) 0.999 instead of 1 for gbuzz amplitude or
*) 1.001 instead of 1 for 0dbfs

I think that the audio hw on your device is very sensitive to overflow. Some devices are like that,
others aren’t. It could be that on Linux you’re overflowing but the soundcard does not mind, if
it is just a little bit.
