Dave -

I love Nur.

Of course I like all your slow process pieces; lovely sounds that evolve, slowly enough so you can hear them evolving, and always coming to a natural conclusion.

The Light is real and apparent.

Thanks.

Subject: [Csnd] New album: Prism, Mirror, Lens

Hi all,

Yesterday I released a new album for download on Bandcamp called "Prism, Mirror, Lens". Both tracks are realtime performances of non-improvised pieces. The title track is made with a Shnth (a new device by Peter Blasser of Ciat-Lonbarde) processed by Csound, using a rePatcher to control the Csound code via OSC. The second track is made with (ahem) SuperCollider (my first, and possibly last SC piece). Hope you enjoy it.

Thanks for the music  It's interesting to know that you are doing it live not with score or scheduling!

Cheers!

Anton,

For the first track, it has to be live because the input to Csound is coming from a hardware instrument that I'm playing. The second track is live because the fun comes from executing the statements in the rhythm established by the beating patterns, and also having an element of human inexactitude.
