Re-triggering question

SubjectRe-triggering question
Dear list,

I have a question on re-triggering. Probably, somebody asked it before, but
I didn't find the same question.

So I would like to re-trig the envelope to start it from the current
position. I've discovered Steven's UDO adsr140, but probably there is a
simpler solution..

I also tried something like
kTrig metro 0.15
k1 init 0
k1 loopseg .1, kTrig, 0, k1, 2, 1, 2, 0, 2

but it works for me not as I expected.

Thank you!

hi gleb -

i did not get what exactly your sitation is. do you want to loop an
envelope? or what do you mean by "re-trig the envelope to start it from
the current position"?

oh, sorry for language.

Actually, I would like to trigger an envelope almost the same way it is done here http://www.doepfer.de/a100_man/A140_man.pdf
but without GATE signal.

The instrument starts with the envelope. If no new events for it, it remains silent although still on.
In case new event is coming the envelope should be triggered again.
In case of re-triggering, the new envelope shouldn't start from 0, but should go from the current point.

I'm curious what's not suitable about the adsr140 I wrote? It sounds
to me from the diagram, you could use the gate signal and not use the
retrigger signal with that UDO and get the behavior you drew.

Subjectadsr140 udo (was: Re: Re-triggering question)
Just out of curiosity ... I went looking for adsr140, and it seems not to be
in the udo database at csounds.com. That page (http://www.csounds.com/udo/)
is undated, which leads me to wonder how out of date it is, and if there is
a more current repository of udo's.

I found it on kunstmusik. My question is about the database, not how to find
that particular file.

The UDO site on csounds.com is not really supported much now. I think
we may want to look at using a GIT-based repository, such as like what
Joachim has done[1]. If we can come up with a convention one
directory structure, make some templates, and maybe a tool even to
help create new UDO entries, I think that'd make for an easier to use
and completely open-source system. If we use pull requests on Github,
and have good instructions on how to contribute, I think it might work
out well for the community.

hi all -

just to note, i further developed my initial idea of a git based udo
repository, and put it here:
https://github.com/csudo/csudo

this repository is open for everyone who wants to add something. the
main idea is not only to have a git based system, but also a solution
for udo's which depend on each other, and the automatic export of .udo
files. the readme.md should describe how to use.

i agree that an interface to add new udo's would be great. if this can
be added on top of my script: much welcome!

thanks for the hint on my old repo. i will add a note that it's no
longer active, but csudo instead.
