Hey hey everyone, is there a table of frequency bands or pitch ranges for soprano, alto, ...? I'm planning to refine the vowel filter using the formant specifications given in the Csound manual appendix, but with optional keytracking. To get a good result, I'd love to have such ranges to map out how the filter should behave at 100% MIDI keytracking or pitch correlation. Any help is appreciated! Thank you. I used google wit "voice ranges" and got reasonable hits Some singers within these voice types may be able to sing somewhat higher or lower: Soprano: C4–C6. Mezzo-soprano: A3–A5. Alto: G3-G5. Contralto: F3–F5. Tenor: C3–C5. Baritone: G2–G4. Bass: E2-E4. The mezzo-soprano voice lies between the soprano voice and contralto voice, over-lapping both of them. The typical range of this voice is between A3 (the A below middle C) to A5 (two octaves higher). The original (I think) formant regions given by Sundberg way back when are listed on this page: http://www.sfu.ca/sonic-studio/handbook/Formant.html Richard Dobson On 09/06/2015 17:55, F.
