Somehow in the course of promiscuous audio program tryouts & finally allowing postponed software updates I've suddenly ended up with a horde of unwanted midi thru ports which are clogging up my aconnectgui interface & rendering it unworkable... I'm running on ubuntu 14... Ideas re what's doing it or what to do about it, please?! |

Okay, it's more or less fixed. I've removed the offending programs (maybe), suffered an upgrade, & still have the extra ports showing on aconnectgui. amidi -l doesn't show them. To connect to the virtual ports I'm been using for csound & pd:3) aconnectgui can still reach the first of the new virtual-midi ports at the very bottom of the display. |

(I should have expected those midi-thru ports to be directly accessible via csound, but get):
"ALSA: error opening MIDI input device: 'hw:14,0' " On Mon, May 25, 2015 at 10:46 AM, Forrest Curo <treegestalt@gmail.com> wrote:

I found this on a forum: That worked. I needed to restart aconnectgui. (Followed it up with 'sudo modprobe snd-virmidi' to get back those ports; don't know if that was needed or not.)sudo rmmod snd_seq_dummy On Mon, May 25, 2015 at 12:57 PM, Forrest Curo <treegestalt@gmail.com> wrote:
