Thanks for the successful report, Justin.
I managed to access a 4.4.2 Android tablet myself, and got the
same positive result. (I wish I'd thought of this possibility many moons
ago.)
So the issue was the version of OS: the combo of Csound6(.05)
and TouchOSC simultaneously performing a .csd on an Android device via OSC, is
not possible on 4.2.2, but is on 4.4.2. I wonder where the compatibility starts
(i.e., with which Android OS).
No doubt knowing about
compatability will continue to be an ongoing problem with
fast-moving mobile system updates. We'll need to be as careful as we can to both
specify compatibility, and to make our apps compatible with as wide a range of
OS versions as possible. (Otherwise we'll be replacing our devices every
six months or so - which may be wonderful for some of us, but no doubt
quite expensive and wasteful for others.)
