Hi all,

This time i'm learning the "grain" opcode, because i like the sound, the
tone, the noise it provides. The only thing, i consider to have this
feature, but without "grain" texture ! A constant long sound, very regular,
but with the tone of the "grain" opcode. Like a big unique grain of eight or
ten seconds !

I tried, in one second, 10 grains X 0.1 second of duration for each ; after
that 100 grains X 0.01 : looks good, but not perfect. The best compromiss
comes from a Doctor's tutorial old example, 55 grains X 0.05 ; but again,
not perfect in regularity as what i search.

My questiion is very simple : could be exist another opcode, corresponding
to what i search ?

Greatings,

Sergio

I'm not sure if I understand what you're after but maybe 'syncgrain' is what you're looking for?

Hi Sergio.
Could you post a csd with the attempts you made? Then it's easier to discuss possible options.

Ok. Good.
I'm still not 100% sure what you're after, but I'm guessing you want
to get rid of the fluctuations present in the second and third note
(?). I actually find these a bit odd, as you specified no random
deviations. I do not know the internals of the grain opcode, but I do
know granular synthesis fairly well and this behaviour seems odd to
me. As Peiman suggested, perhaps you could try syncgrain, or if you
want flexible control over everything, go for partikkel.

Yes, i'll make that, to try first syncgrain, after syncgrain partikel.

Thank's Oeyvind !

Cheers,

Sergio
