if your delay lines have feedback, which I
reckon they have, if they are waveguides, you
need to set kr=sr. Otherwise the minimun delay
is going to be ksmps, not 1. No wonder the timbre
changes.

If you don't want to set a global ksmps=1, put
your waveguides in an UDO, and use setksmps 1
