Hector,

I enjoyed listening to more of your music.

Please keep us apprised of your experience with the Wiimote. My next
compositional effort will involve multiple stereo tracks of crickets being
panned independently is a 4- or 8-speaker environment.

Do you think this will be possible in real time using one or more Wiimotes?

This is all very timely; I have just treated myself to a Wiimote too.
Only working (sort-of; trying to drive PD with it, using WiiToMidi.app
adn the IAC driver) on an intel iMac right now, as that is the only
machine with built-in bluetooth. I have seen comments that things are a
bit flaky on the intel macs, while PPC ones work fine. Can anyone
confirm or disfirm that? the control messages seem to get through OK,
but the buttons are harly ever responded too, and very erratically.
Whereas routing to a real MIDI port to an external synth it all works
fine. No idea whether that is an IAC or PD problem. So advice on other
(better?) interface apps will be very useful!

Art and Hector, and anyone else really,

I'd be more than happy to offer up the wisdom that
I have gained using the Wiimote over the past few
months. I've been working on a collaboration with a
dance company that utilizes the wiimote to control the
sound from the dancers' movements, and I have had a
good deal of luck. Eventually, I plan on recording
the audio and a video of the dance so that I can share
it and the CSD with everyone. If anyone wants to look
at the CSD currently, I'd be happy to share that too.
Art, I have been successful in controlling the
panning in stereo with the wiimote, so I don't see why
a 4 or 8 speaker environment wouldn't work either. I
haven't used two wwimotes at the same time, but
GlovePIE claims that it is possible.
