| Hello,
I am forwarding the call below for your information. Apologies for
cross-posting.
Yours truly,

-------------
Dear friends,
I am writing to invite the submission of works of mixed music (tape+ or
live electronics) for potential performance by students in the ensembles
of the Florida Institute of Technology, Melbourne, Florida. Submitted
works should present modest performance challenges and be scored for any
subset or combination of the following forces:
6-voice SAT choir
3 Flutes
2 Clarinets
1 Trumpet
1 Horn
2 Violins
1 Double bass
Piano
For the fall 2007 semester, we are especially interested in submissions
for one or more singer(s) or instrumentalist(s) together with "tape".
Multi-channel tapes, and the diffusion of stereo tapes, are both
possible, however works allowing for stereo projection (even if only for
rehearsal purposes) will be most practical.
Submissions for the fall 2007 semester should arrive by 15 Sept 2007.
Live electronic submissions and/or submissions that arrive after 15 Sept
2007 will certainly be accepted, and will be considered for programming
during future semesters.
Electronic submission is encouraged. Please email PDF scores, PDF
technical documentation, patches/software (for live electronic pieces)
and optionally any MP3 samples to jyounkin@fit.edu. Please do not
include full-resolution tapes or other large files (>10 Mb) in your
email submission - transmission of these will be arranged subsequently.
It would be helpful to wrap all electronically submitted materials in a
.ZIP archive.
Alternatively, you may submit via snail mail. Send printed scores and a
data-format CD or DVD containing PDF scores, PDF technical
documentation, patches/software, samples and any full-length tapes by
regular post to:

All submissions will be retained in the collection of the humanities
department at the Florida Institute of Technology. Regrettably, we are
unable to offer any compensation for submission. However, in the event
that a work is selected for performance by FIT students we will offer a
small honorarium at that time, together with a recording of the eventual
performance.
I look forward to hearing some of your work!
Sincerely,
Jamie Younkin
