I wouldn't doubt that that's the case...it probably dates back to the time
you couldn't have spaces in pathnames on Windows/DOS.
Of course, the workaround on Windows is to just include auxiliary files
(audio and MIDI) in the same folder as the .csd/.orc/.sco, or to go ahead
and set the environment variable at the system level...
