I appreciate the tenor of this message (I hope I'm not responding to a
robopost...). I usually worry when I run into a bug/anomaly/problem I can't
figure out since I think "this question MUST have been answered before,
probably many times". But please do note that I do try to beat my head
against the wall a reasonable amount of time before posting here...
