This does appear to be due to a change in PortAudio. The old Lazzarini DLL works, the new PortAudio v19 DLL does not work. I built it myself using Microsoft Visual C++ Express Edition. Either I did something wrong, or the PortAudio library has now got a breaking change.

I will experiment further, starting with building using MinGW instead of MSVC.
