About that time, we had Barry come to NC and install MUSIC360 at the
Research Triange Institute, which served as a remote computing facility for
all the schools in the state university system. (As a result, I was
perhaps - for several years - one of the largest spenders of "funny money"
on the UNC-Greensboro campus.)

My copy dates from that time. Part of the installation was a weeklong
workshop in the program, for 12 interested teachers from around the state.
Each received a copy (the text was manually typed.)

That is very cool Art. May I ask how it came to be in your possession?

On further inspection I see that the one I have is titled, "Introduction to
Music11" and it is by Jim Winkleman... written in May of 1980. It is 37
pages long and was printed on a dot matrix printer. It is interesting to see
the code then and compare it to now. Very similar in many ways although much
simpler and less extensive.

It would be really interesting to see the various incarnations of the manual
scanned and then posted somewhere... a virtual museum of Csound artifacts.
It would also be interesting to hear pieces that correlated to the various
versions.

Just dreaming out loud.

Michael
