| I've been out of csound for a while, and csound5 has some new challenges,
but thanks to all of your help, I have a decent working installation again.
I was messing around with realtime orchestras controlled from a MIDI keyboard.
With the apparently magic --sched flag, I was able to run with a 16 frame buffer,
and get solid 24 note polyphony with say a soundfont orchestra.
By the way, what is the skinny on buffer sizes. I know that we have -b and -B,
but I remember seeing somewhere that the hardware buffer should be twice the
software buffer. Is there a good guideline not for the size of the buffers,
but for the ratio between -b and -B?
Thanks all,
Back to the fun. |
