Subject | Two Questions About Cabel |
Hi, I have two Cabel questions: 1. At the moment I can't get any sound out of it. The program seems to be running properly (I'm running Windows XP) no sound is output. Here's the command line output: Localisation of messages is disabled, using default language. time resolution is 279.365 ns Localisation of messages is disabled, using default language. time resolution is 279.365 ns PortMIDI real time MIDI plugin for Csound WARNING: 'C:\Program Files\Csound\plugins\portaudio.dll' is not a Csound plugin library PortAudio real-time audio module for Csound Windows MME real time audio and MIDI module for Csound by Istvan Varga 0dBFS level = 32768.0 Csound version 5.02.0 beta (float samples) Apr 9 2006 libsndfile-1.0.15 UnifiedCSD: tmp.csd STARTING FILE Creating options Creating orchestra Creating score orchname: C:\DOCUME~1\CHRIS~1.LAP\LOCALS~1\Temp\cs63.orc scorename: C:\DOCUME~1\CHRIS~1.LAP\LOCALS~1\Temp\cs64.sco rtaudio: WinMM module enabled rtmidi: WinMM module enabled orch compiler: 36 lines read opcode SawVco a kk opcode Amp a ak opcode PcmMonoOut 0 a instr 1 sorting score ... ... done Csound version 5.02.0 beta (float samples) Apr 9 2006 midi channel 1 using instr 1 midi channel 2 using instr 1 midi channel 3 using instr 1 midi channel 4 using instr 1 midi channel 5 using instr 1 midi channel 6 using instr 1 midi channel 7 using instr 1 midi channel 8 using instr 1 midi channel 9 using instr 1 midi channel 10 using instr 1 midi channel 11 using instr 1 midi channel 12 using instr 1 midi channel 13 using instr 1 midi channel 14 using instr 1 midi channel 15 using instr 1 midi channel 16 using instr 1 displays suppressed 0dBFS level = 32768.0 Opening MIDI input device 0 (MIDI Yoke NT: 1) orch now loaded audio buffered in 256 sample-frame blocks winmm: opening output device 0 (Realtek AC97 Audio) writing 512-byte blks of shorts to dac0 SECTION 1: 2. Is it possible to add modules to Cabel? I can't see a way to do this. Cheers, Chris |

A minor question, but this message about time resolution seems to avoid the API and be printed directly to stderr.
