Given the interest and number of messages posted,
Lettuce will soon demand an e-mail list of its own.

Yeah, sorry for the heavy traffic. Perhaps people can just email me off
the list if they want to discuss any Lettuce issues, and I can just post
news of major new versions on the list.

Rory.

I think it's better to keep this info public. Otherwise you might be
asked the same question a hundred times! It also means that people can
solve problems themselves by searching the list. Just my 2c worth.

SubjectLettuce and MSYS
Hi,

I've noticed that when I update my version of Lettuce, the User Settings
point to strange locations (for example, the CD drive on my laptop).

Also, is there any reason why the command prompt points to:

C:\msys\1.0\msys.bat

I've changed this to point to

C:\WINDOWS\system32\cmd.exe

Cheers,

Chris

Only because these are the settings that I use and my settings file is
the one that is packaged with Lettuce. I can change it so that a blank
settings file is shipped with Lettuce from now on.

A good idea might be to open a dialog the first time the program is run,
asking the user to set the various options.

Cheers,

Hi,

I've noticed that only "//" style comments are changed by the User

I'm looking into it. '/*' style comments also change the text and are
supported by Csound. I don't think Csound supports //style comments.

That's what I thought too. However in the Lettuce's Settings -> Editor
Options panel is the following example:

nchnls = 1

instr 1;//instrument name
a1 soundin "test.wav"
out a1

endin

The comment after the "//2 changes colour when the setting is changed,
however comments after a ";" don't.
