I've finally managed to upload to SourceForge a Windows installer for the 32-bit sample version of Csound 5.01. It's pretty much identical to the 64 bit sample version, except that the Loris and STK (C++) opcodes are omitted. My cursory tests show that it runs about 9% faster than the 64 bit sample version. Note that some of the Cubase examples don't run, but the 32 bit sample version of CsoundVST DOES run -- there may be problems with certain opcodes. The Python extension also runs. So there are now two Windows installers: http://prdownloads.sourceforge.net/csound/Csound5.01_win32d.exe?download for double-precision samples http://prdownloads.sourceforge.net/csound/Csound5.02-win32-f.exe?download for single-precision samples Regards, Mike ------------------------------------------------------- This SF.Net email is sponsored by xPML, a groundbreaking scripting language that extends applications into web and mobile media. Thanks Michael. That's great. Rory. Michael Gogins wrote: > I've finally managed to upload to SourceForge a Windows installer for the 32-bit sample version of Csound 5.01. Hello, This may be a silly question, but I'm confused about the version of the installer for single-precision samples. Is this Csound5.01 or Csound5.02 as its name ? And winsound.exe doesn't seem to be included in Csound5.02-win32-f... Thanks. It is preferable to be indicated by its file name. (e.g. Csound5.02-win32-f_beta.exe) Tetsuya On 2006/04/10, at 22:59, Istvan Varga wrote: > On Monday 10 April 2006 16:57, Tetsuya Miwa wrote: > >> This may be a silly question, but I'm confused about the version of >> the installer for single-precision samples. >> Is this Csound5.01 or Csound5.02 as its name ? > > It is a beta version of 5.02. > -- > Send bugs reports to this list. > To unsubscribe, send email to csound-unsubscribe@lists.bath.ac.uk |
