Thanks for the feedback, Richard. I'm happy to know OSX will work with my
music (Csound5).

The messages you received are what you're supposed to receive (and identical
to Windows). "MIDI Channel 1 muted" comes from using massign 1, -1 -
required to defeat the "normal" channel assignments when gathering note
information with midiin. (My 2-controller versions use two MIDI keys as
triggers for non-note events.)

The list of "note not found" messages comes when you move slider/pot 2 (the
instrument off control) before you've turned them on by moving slider/pot 1.
It's possible to program against this situation, but IMO not worth the
effort - as there is no bad result, as you noticed.

BTW, these same "not found" messages occur in the 4-controller versions of
the piece.

It's clear to me that when you work, as I do, with MIDI in non-traditional
ways, that things can get tricky. You definitely must watch your step.
