Hello,


My name is Hans van Dongen, Gerards brother, and I just want to let you
know that Gerard passed away on March 4th, 2006 after an exhausting battle
with cancer. He was buried on March 9th. in Rotterdam (his home town).

He leaves behind his wife, Marie-Louise Gilcher and two children, Jakob
and Mathilde. Marie Louise can be reached at the usual e-mail address
gml@xs4all.nl

I was quite shocked by the news. It is only a year in April that
we had a beer with him in Karlsruhe after his concert. He seemed
in good form. This is very sad.
