Hi I think I got the idea of -B and -b, and found reasonable settings for them. But how about kr or ksmps? Is there any magical relationship with -B and/or -b? I know that as a general rule a large ksmps should give better realtime performance, but besides that? -- peace, love & harmony Atte http://www.atte.dk |

Will check it out tonight, thanks! -- peace, love & harmony Atte http://www.atte.dk |

If you are playing live and want low latency, you need to have a very small ksmp in order to get the buffers down low. So something like ( on linux with low latency kernel ) ksmp=8 or 4, -b8 -B32 gets dead low latency. Of course this will eat up more cpu use and you'll probably want to use rtaudio=alsa, -m0, -D, --sched, etc. iain |
