FLTK widgets don't work in CsoundVST, this is a bug, I will look at it sometime.

As far as I recall, csnd.jar only contains a class library, not a standalone program. But there are some sample Java programs that use csnd.jar; they should give you some idea of what is happening there (CSDPlayer.java and CsoundEditor.java).
