I have played (a little) with Cabel and it seems easy and intuitive, with a nice interface. It ran straight out of the box on windows, which has a lot to be said of. I'd suggest some simple additions that would be very nice: either a 'constant' module, where you can type values, or the possibility to write the values of parameters in a module. Anyway, well done again Victor Lazzarini Music Technology Laboratory Music Department National University of Ireland, Maynooth |

I know at least one composer who not only uses Cabel, but is quite happy about it. I periodically maintain Cabel. I don't use it myself, but ff I hear that it's broken, I'll fix it. I rather I doubt that it's actually broken, but I will check. I would REALLY like to see something like Cabel in CsoundQt.... Regards, Mike On Wed, Nov 9, 2011 at 7:30 AM, |

5.13 only had the usual directx and winmme, which are definitely not low-latency. Should be easy also in other OS, i think. oh? I definitely can use ASIO, but I normally build Csound here so did not check the 5.13 binary distribution. I would find it very strange if ASIO was not supported (?). It seems WASAPI is supported in portaudio v19, but I'm unsure if I currently take advantage of it. Maybe Michael (Gogins) or Rory would know more details about this? How would I know if I use WASAPI? Should there be info listed next to the device name in the console perhaps?
