I installed this and looked at the GUI. I haven't tried to actually use it yet, though I will. I hardly ever do real-time performance, but I could really use an interactive instrument designer to make instruments for off-line rendering. How would I go about using cabel to make instruments for score-driven performance and off-line rendering? Unless I can use it with a regular Csound score, it's perfectly useless for me. I'd love to be able to use it though -- it would give me the "tweakiness" of Reaktor or PD with the power of Csound. It looks like a good idea to make your "modules" based on user-defined opcodes. I am very excited about trying out Cabel as well and I would also like to be able to use it for offline rendering using a standard score. I am thrilled to see that the program is written in cross-platform Python and look forward to having an opportunity to see how well it works on MacOS 9. Bravo!
