After unzipping the zip file called csound_win which I downloaded from
csounds.com, I was presented with the following three files:
winsound.exe
winsound64.exe
winsound.dsp
what do I do with these files???

My reply please....
Fantastic !!!! Done! T-H-A-N-K Y-O-U
I assume then there is nothing to edit in my autoexe.bat file ? Why did a
previous csound setup link mention I had to edit my autoexe.bat file? Please
see http://hem.passagen.se/rasmuse/PCinstal.htm
As per your advice, I simply clicked on the winsound.exe file (because
windows 2000 is a 32 bit operating system) and the program launched itself.
No messing with my autoexec.bat file like the instructions stated on one of
the "outdated" csound links.
I simply unzipped all three of the folders mentioned above into a directory
I created simply called "csound".
I understand at least two of the subfolders should be named "Anaysis" and
"Bin" but what about the remaining folders? I see different folder names
such as Samples, Sounds and Output (depending on which tutorial link I go
to).
Also please, What do I do with the "winsound.dsp" folder that unzipped along
with the winsound.exe and winsound64 ? Do I place this folder in any
specific location?
I hope I can be a productive contributor to csound as I learn the program.
Thanks so much for helping me.
Thanks and God Bless
