Since calculating the RMS value for a signal involves averaging, how 
many samples are averaged by the rms opcode?  The first logical answer 
that comes to mind is that the calculations are made during each k-pass 
(since rms outputs a k-rate value), so ksmps samples are averaged.  But 
that would mean that the RMS calculation for identical input signals 
would be different depending on the sample rate and control rate of the 
orchestra.

It would be helpful if the manual were a bit more informative about 
this opcode...
