Subjectbad size for PEAK chunk in AIFC file on 24bit aif-files
Dear list,

in my attempt to switch to 24 bit processing, another problem occurred:
with the help of ma++, I found out, that fout *can* put out
24bit-aif-files in ma++'s mac-version. It is a new, yet undocumented
feature. setting "iformat" to "6" produces a readable, audible, 24 bit
soundfile. But my operating system (OSX) announces "bad size for PEAK
chunk in AIFC file". I would not mind as long I would not get the same
error-message as I try to read the file with "soundin". As also
"Soundhack" crashes as I am trying to re-write the header or make a
copy of the file, I am a bit at the end of my knowledge. Full 24 bit
support should be no problem with csound5, I have been told, but it
does not run on a mac yet, does it? Any ideas welcome...

Best regards,

Jan Jacob
