Hi, everyone.  I'm REALLY new to Csound and am trying to learn to use
it.  At the moment, I'm focusing on trying to use GEN01 for sample
processing.  Does anyone know where a really good tutorial is for this?
 Sorry, I know this is a really general question.

Also, I haven't bought the Csound book yet---should I?

Anyone who uses GEN01 and has pointers... I will welcome any info.  I am
overwhelmed.

Only if you want to learn CSound.

The usual starting place is csounds.com, oddly enough in the beginners
section.

The place to start is there. Try all the tutorials including the mastering
stuff.

Then look at the instruments, listen to the sounds, and try to understand
how they work. Most of them are fairly simple. They give a lot of good
examples.

Gen01 is documented here

with an example. This is not the most user friendly space to start playing
in however.
