Hi Steven,

I seem to recall that not long ago on the music-dsp list there was
quite a detailed discussion on the matter.

http://aulos.calarts.edu/pipermail/music-dsp/2005-July/thread.html#30783

Topics even went so far as to delve into C/C++ implementations as well
as most theoretical underpinnings that you may or may not imagine go
into the sound of tube saturation ( I sure didn't !! ).

Indeed.

In what ways could we implement variations of these ideas in the form
of plugin opcodes and GEN routines that do not already exist?
