The screenshot in question was run with the following commandline:
localhost:~$ csound -odac:0 stdervish.csd
the line "-+rtaudio=CoreAudio" lives in my .csoundrc file, so if it
does not live there on a user's system, then it would need to be
specified via the commandline. A user could also presumably set the
real time audio output to be using the PortAudio module.

these are (1024 now?)

Yes the PortMIDI module was working nicely, however this test was not
the one reflected in the screenshot.
