sorry for this long delay, but I'm really busy at the moment.
I've just uploaded at the following link the new WinXound 3.4.0 sources 
for Ubuntu 12.04
(the older version doesn't work on 12.04). There is also a precompiled 
version for Ubuntu 32 bit.

Note: There are some missing opcodes in the syntax highlighter but for 
the moment I've no time to
update them. Maybe in the future, sorry.

Prerequisites/dependencies:
    - gtkmm-2.4 (libgtkmm-2.4-dev)
    - vte (libvte-dev)
    - webkit-1.0 (libwebkit-dev)

To compile WinXound open the terminal window, go into the uncompressed 
"winxound_gtkmm"
directory and type:
./preconfigure
./configure
make clean
make
make standalone

Inside the WinXound folder you will find the new executable.

Let me know if it works correctly,

Don't worry about the missing opcodes. Because of your opcodes.txt
file it's pretty simple to update the missing ones!
