Recent conversations on this list have left me wanting to learn Csound via
command line but I know nothing on command line. Is there an overall guide
to learning Csound through command line and even command line in general for
somebody who is completely new to it?

If it helps any, I would rather use it on my mac but I will use windows if I
have to.

Do a search for command line for beginners and you'll have enough to
get started on. I think a good understanding of the command line is a
useful skill to have, I'm not sure why you want to start using Csound
from the command line. I use the command line for most things, but I
rather use an integrated editor for Csound :)

you should have no problems based on platform as far as i can tell ...
